He was there for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, so of course I took a few pictures of him.

My mom is quite in love with his squishy chubbiness, as are the rest of us.

Sigh. I could just eat him up.

This poor photo blog has been neglected, oddly enough, because I’ve been so busy TAKING pictures! I don’t have any more sessions scheduled at the moment, though, so hopefully I’ll get a chance to catch up on editing and posting.
This little gal is wearing a dress from Germany, which her grandparents bought for her long, long ago. Well, three years ago!
Her mom wanted to make sure she documented D wearing this dress, so we did a little photo session on a warm day.
I had such a hard time picking out a few more of my favorites because there are so many I love from this session.
When I first started getting into photography, I really tried to avoid the sun. I’m slowly getting over that, though, and I’m learning to use good sunlight to my advantage. I kind of like the hazy effect in these first two images.
It’s so interesting how different the light is with just a small position change. Miss C is in the same spot here as she is in the previous photo…I just moved, and so the effect is completely different.
I love white dresses on little girls.
And because I can’t bear to do a post without a black and white, here’s one more image.
Our neighbor behind us owns a pool, and though he gives us a free invitation all summer long, we only ever seem to make it over once a year. I don’t know quite what’s wrong with us!
His pool is chilly, but it does have a cool slide.
I don’t often use the action setting on my camera, but it is awfully handy for water slide pictures.
Lisey, shivering.
Zoe was smart enough to realize that the pool was too cold for anything but dipping her feet.
The most wonderful thing about swimming at this pool is that all we have to do is take a walk through our yard, and we’re home. Easy-peasy. Remind me why I don’t do this more often??
I will do better next summer.
This is my nephew, who will soon be 4 months old. I plan to do an honest-to-goodness session with him to mark that, but for now, here’s a quick snapshot I took of him at the pool last week.
One lovely thing about babies is that it’s so easy to catch them sleeping. I hardly ever get to take sleeping pictures of my children anymore!
