I rarely get to do these because our yard is so full of trees, by the time the sun gets low in the sky, we can’t even see it!

But I was at the beach for a photo session the other day, and we were fortunate enough to be there as the sun was setting.

Year Three with the W Family

This is actually the third year in a row that I’ve had the privilege of photographing this family (look how little they were two years ago!).

a new baby boy

A good friend of mine had her second little boy this past week. He arrived a little earlier than we’d expected, which made me glad I’d gone over to take a few maternity shots earlier than we thought we really needed to!

A waiting, empty froggy sleeper.

And the froggy sleeper, filled with new babyness. 

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again…I simply love taking pictures of babies in their dad’s arms.

More baby goodness

I wanted to share a few more of my friend’s baby girl.

Her daddy was home when my camera and I visited, which made me happy.  I love to take pictures of babies with their daddies, since I don’t get to do that a lot.

She has a very proud big sister.

She doesn’t smile too easily yet, but we managed to catch a little grin.

This is the newest member of our church family. Usually I try to get around to photographing new babies in our church more promptly, but this time it took me six weeks!

My parents

I think they look pretty good together.

And they still like to kiss each other, which is good.

I’m happy that they’re still happy together. 

Silver Strings

I recently had the opportunity to take some promo photos for my friend’s string group. I think strings are so beautiful!

The newest member of our church family

This little guy came to America just a few weeks ago from Ethiopia to live with his new family.  We’re so happy he’s here!

And because he is so stinking adorable, I’ll share some more of this morning’s photo shoot in the coming week.
