An Ambulance

Filed under: Children — Kristen @ 2:01 am

The rally I photographed was an EMS rally, so an ambulance was present. Zoe checked it out…

And so did Sonia.

Zoe’s very small compared to the ambulance.

And so is Sonia!

Something a little different…

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kristen @ 12:35 am

As you know, I normally take pictures of people, especially those of the young persuasion. However, on Saturday I did some photos for a charity motorcycle ride, so I had some very new and different subjects to shoot. It was fun, and I learned a lot…so if I ever need to take pictures of motorcycles again, I’ll be better prepared.

Of course, I think even motorcycles look nice in black and white.

One thing I appreciate about about them is that they don’t squint in the bright sunlight.

img_4133

But I sure do wish I’d gotten the whole front wheel of this motorcycle in the picture.

Yup…this is a big change from photographing a baby!

This was right before they all set off.

A bath never fails to cheer up my children.

Mr. Eyelashes

Filed under: Babies, Black and White — Kristen @ 8:07 pm

This is my friend’s youngest kiddo….he’s over a year old, but this was the first time I got to meet him. Of course, I followed him around with my camera.

Could someone please explain to me why baby boys always have such delightful eyelashes? None of my girls ever had lashes like this!

I usually prefer black and white to sepia, but there is an exception every now and then.

Eggs!

Filed under: Children, Everyday Happenings — Kristen @ 12:51 am

On Sunday afternoon, we hid eggs for the kids at my in-law’s house. Unfortunately, we did this mid-afternoon, when the light was definitely not ideal.

I coaxed Sonia into the shade at one point.

But not Joshua.

Ooh, there’s some shade again.

This is definitely my favorite. I love the backlighting on her hair.

And here’s bit of Zoe’s bounty.

Boys!

Filed under: Black and White, Children, Everyday Happenings — Kristen @ 8:09 pm

This is my nephew. He masquerades as a normal looking almost-five-year-old most of the time.

But sometimes, he turns into a very scary monster.

Much to my surprise, I got Joshua and my nephew to sit and model for me(such cooperation!), but that was where the cooperation ended.

Mr. Adorable is growing up

Filed under: Black and White, Children — Kristen @ 7:53 pm

You may remember him from this post last fall.

I love his dark eyes.

img_3416

He was about ready for a nap, so I think he was a little annoyed with me for taking his picture.

img_3406

He’s standing and walking by himself now…last time I took pictures of him, he was only crawling!

img_3399

He doesn’t actually look black and white in real life, see?
