Something a little different…
As you know, I normally take pictures of people, especially those of the young persuasion. However, on Saturday I did some photos for a charity motorcycle ride, so I had some very new and different subjects to shoot. It was fun, and I learned a lot…so if I ever need to take pictures of motorcycles again, I’ll be better prepared.
Of course, I think even motorcycles look nice in black and white.
One thing I appreciate about about them is that they don’t squint in the bright sunlight.
But I sure do wish I’d gotten the whole front wheel of this motorcycle in the picture.
Yup…this is a big change from photographing a baby!
This was right before they all set off.

Mr. Eyelashes
This is my friend’s youngest kiddo….he’s over a year old, but this was the first time I got to meet him. Of course, I followed him around with my camera.
Could someone please explain to me why baby boys always have such delightful eyelashes? None of my girls ever had lashes like this!
I usually prefer black and white to sepia, but there is an exception every now and then.

Eggs!
On Sunday afternoon, we hid eggs for the kids at my in-law’s house. Unfortunately, we did this mid-afternoon, when the light was definitely not ideal.
I coaxed Sonia into the shade at one point.
But not Joshua.
Ooh, there’s some shade again.
This is definitely my favorite. I love the backlighting on her hair.
And here’s bit of Zoe’s bounty.

Boys!
This is my nephew. He masquerades as a normal looking almost-five-year-old most of the time.

But sometimes, he turns into a very scary monster.
Much to my surprise, I got Joshua and my nephew to sit and model for me(such cooperation!), but that was where the cooperation ended.
And he’s back to normal!

Mr. Adorable is growing up
You may remember him from this post last fall.
I love his dark eyes.
He was about ready for a nap, so I think he was a little annoyed with me for taking his picture.
He’s standing and walking by himself now…last time I took pictures of him, he was only crawling!
He doesn’t actually look black and white in real life, see?
