My Sleepy Nephew

When I went to take his four week photos, he was a sleepy…

sleepy…

boy. Even in his Bumbo seat, he couldn’t stay awake!

Fortunately for me, he did wake up before I left, and I’m so glad he did.

He’s cute when he’s sleeping, of course, but I lurve his eyes.  Even when they look sort of mad.

I’m know I’m biased, but isn’t he precious??

Sometimes…

I think Sonia looks kind of like a doll.

But then, I might be just a little bit biased.

Seriously, though, it’s something about her mouth…it reminds me of the types of mouths they put on baby dolls.

A dog!

I’m not much of an animal person, and so I haven’t ventured into the field of animal photography very much (I am, after all, an avowed portrait gal!). Our neighbors have just gotten a dog, though, and today I took a few pictures of him.

Excuse me for just a moment…

…while I delight in the bokeh that my lens produces.

Bokeh is that wonderful blur you see in the background, made possible by the very large apertures that my lens can achieve.

I love it.

Fish Puzzles

Zoe’s been quite the puzzle gal lately. She started out with some wooden chunky puzzles, and she’s now graduated to the large floor puzzles with big pieces. She can actually do these almost entirely by herself, and I love how they keep her entertained so well.

As an aside, can you imagine comfortably sitting like this??

Naturally, most of the puzzles she does have a fish theme.
