Hi! I’m Kristen. I’m a wife, and mom(of four), and a picture-taking nut! I like to take pictures of all sorts of different stuff, but my first love is portraits…I love to take pictures of people.
I’ve been taking pictures of my kids since I became a mom over 9 years ago, but I really started to be interested in photography around the time my last baby was born. All I had to work with at that point, though, was a glorified point and shoot. But on Christmas Day in 2007 that all changed, because I got a digital SLR! Life has never been the same(and my photo files on my computer have been filled to overflowing!).

Hi Kristen…just discovered the photo part of your blog. I’m really into photography too and am curious about what kind of camera you’re using. I’m thinking of upgrading now and am impressed with the quality of your shots (as well as your composition and skill with natural light!). I hope I didn’t miss where you wrote that somewhere. You did a great job with the firework photos! Very inspiring!

Hi Kristen,
Like Kelly, I’d love to know which SLR camera you purchased. I have been considering purchasing one for months now and cannot decide which one to buy. Your pictures are so sharp and crisp. My glorified point and shot have caused me to miss too many adorable kid shots that you just cannot replicate.

Kelly, I have a Canon EOS Rebel XT, and I usually shoot with Canon’s 50mm/1.4 lens when I’m taking pictures of people. LOVE that lens.
